plumping & hydrating banana face pack

Face packs made from fresh fruits, such as banana, are a wonderful reminder that skincare can be simple and simultaneously, highly effective. This face pack never fails to leave my skin feeling hydrated, plump and dewy. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!

Ingredients:

2 tbsp mashed banana

1tsp pure honey

1/2 tsp ground flaxseeds (optional)

Associated beauty benefits may include;

Honey: soothing, softening, hydrating, healing and anti bacterial.

Banana: stimulates the production of collagen, hydrating

Flaxseed: hydrating, smoothing, tightening and firming

How to:

Always test patch new ingredients. Face packs should always be applied to freshly cleansed skin. Mash the banana in a clean bowl. Add the honey and flaxseeds and mix well. Apply to face (including neck and décolletage) for no more than 10 minutes before removing with lukewarm water. For optimal benefits, sit or lie comfortably and relax your face while the face pack sets. Follow with a toner and moisturiser.

Notes:

Make sure the flaxseeds are ground to a find powder so they are gentle on the skin. You may omit the flaxseeds and just use banana and honey - or use plain banana on its own!
