welcome to step 5

In this step, you will discover relaxation and massage techniques designed to soothe your face and mind, boost circulation, support lymphatic flow and promote the production of collagen and elastin ~ the skin’s natural plumping agents.

It’s important to always work to your own comfortable level and refer to the AAOKA® Terms and Conditions to ensure that facial massage and any skincare modalities presented in this module are appropriate for your unique circumstances.

The techniques and relaxation rituals in this step are intended to support emotional ease and nervous system restoration. Please work to your own comfortable level, and if you feel unsettled or uncomfortable at any time, pause the practice, return to your breath or a grounding posture, and seek support from a trusted professional if needed.

Designate a Sacred Space

Since slow living and relaxation are vital for cultivating healthy skin, I encourage you to practice face massage at a time when you can be fully present and calm. Intention is everything ~ it’s better to practice for 5 minutes with intention than 30 minutes feeling rushed.

Creating a sacred space dedicated to this ritual can help you feel calm and relaxed, supporting your presence throughout the practice.

I also highly recommend using your skincare rituals as opportunities to relax your face and cultivate inner peace ~ because truly, this is where beauty begins.
