the radiance pause - 5 day skin reset

Welcome VIDEO

The Radiance Pause is a gentle, nourishing skin reset to reconnect with your natural glow ~ through pause, simplicity and edible beauty ~ in just 15 minutes a day. By the end of the journey, your skin will feel more hydrated, balanced and naturally plump. You’ll also carry with you simple yet powerful techniques to press the reset button ~ for both your skin and your nervous system ~ whenever the busyness of life begins to take over.

Each day, you will be guided through a simple DIY face pack/ mask and relaxation ritual. All you need to do is watch, follow along and carve out 15 minutes a day to nurture your skin and your inner radiance.

Take a "before" photo before you begin so you can compare your skin at the end of the 5 days. This can be such a beautiful way to see ~ and be inspired by ~ the subtle but powerful shifts that come from simple, consistent and nourishing rituals. If you feel called to share your before and after photos at the end, I’d absolutely love to see them!

Before you lie or sit down for your relaxation ritual with your face pack or mask on, consider laying down an old towel underneath you ~ especially if you’re on furniture or cushions you want to keep nice and clean.

Relaxing music really sets the tone. I’ve created a Spotify playlist of calming tracks I love ~ you can listen to that or choose your own favourites to deepen your experience. You might also enjoy the Facial Relaxation Visualisation provided, which can help you soften and let go as your face mask sets. Tune into what feels most supportive for you.

You can return to The Radiant Pause whenever you feel your skin or nervous system needs a gentle reset. A full 5-day cycle is ideal, but even 2-3 days of intentional practice can create noticeable shifts. I suggest repeating The Radiance Pause every 2-3 months for maintenance, but always listen to your skin’s wisdom and adjust as needed to suit your unique rhythm.

important information before we begin

The Radiance Pause is a gentle, self-guided skincare and rest retreat designed to support relaxation, mindfulness and skin nourishment through simple, natural practices. The content provided is for educational and informational purposes only and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any medical or dermatological condition.

Please consult with your healthcare provider or a qualified skin care professional before beginning any new wellness or skincare routine, especially if you have sensitive skin, allergies, underlying health concerns, are pregnant or are currently taking medications.

While all the DIY masks use whole, natural ingredients, every skin type is different. It is strongly recommended that you perform a patch test before applying any new ingredient to your face. Discontinue use immediately if you experience any irritation, discomfort or reaction.

Avoid using face masks, compresses and DIY treatments on broken, inflamed, infected, infectious, highly irritated or compromised skin barriers.

The daily mantras and rest practices are designed to support emotional calm and inner radiance. However, if you feel emotionally unsettled or uncomfortable at any time during these practices, please stop and return to your breath, a grounding posture or seek support from a trusted professional.

Please use common sense, fresh ingredients, clean utensils, clean hands and listen to your body throughout this retreat. Participation is voluntary and at your own risk. By taking part, you agree to assume full responsibility for your own health and well-being and release the facilitator and any affiliated parties from any liability or claims.

Thank you for being here ~ may this retreat nourish your skin, soothe your nervous system and reconnect you to your inner glow.

DAY ONE

“I soften and reconnect with my radiance.”

SIDE NOTE: I recently moved house and a few of my usual tools are still packed away! I mention this because it’s ideal not to mix your face packs or masks in metal (especially copper) utensils or bowls. Certain active ingredients can react with the metal and lose some of their potency ~ plus, it’s a bit noisy and doesn’t quite feel sattvic. :)

If possible, opt for wooden utensils and ceramic or glass bowls instead.

DAY TWO

“I surrender to the wisdom of my skin.”

day three

“I allow myself to be nourished, I soften into radiance”

NOTES FOR WARM COMPRESS

The water should be comfortably warm, not hot ~ always test the temperature on your inner wrist or hand before applying to the face to avoid burns or irritation.

In my demonstration, you’ll notice I lean forward with my body parallel to the floor. This is not necessary for effective results. While it can be helpful for clean-up, it may not be appropriate for everyone’s body or mobility.

If you do choose this position, please return to an upright posture between strokes to support healthy lymphatic flow.

Alternatively, a slight forward tilt is often gentler on the body and still beneficial for lymph movement.

The pressure used when applying the warm compress should be gentle and nurturing, never forceful. Do not apply any pressure to the front of the neck or throat area ~ this is a highly delicate region. When removing a mask or compress from this area, use a light, featherlike touch to wipe, supporting comfort and safety.

Always work within your own comfort level and adapt to your body’s unique needs. Nothing shown in this demonstration is prescriptive.

If you have any medical concerns or conditions, please consult with your healthcare provider before practicing this technique.

Contraindications – Do Not Use a Warm Compress on the Face If You Have:

Active skin infection or acne flare-up

Rosacea or red/reactive/sensitive skin

Sunburn

Broken capillaries or visible thread veins

Recent facial surgery or cosmetic procedures (e.g., fillers, Botox)

Facial nerve disorders or impaired sensation in the area

Broken skin, open wounds, or cold sores

Sinus infection with fever or swelling

DAy 4

“I refresh and restore. I am balanced and whole.”

A Gentle reminder to always listen to your skin and body. If you have any areas of compromised, inflamed, infected, infectious, highly irritated or broken skin, please avoid applying face masks, compresses and DIY treatments to those areas.

Instead, you can focus on the rest of the face, or skip the product entirely and simply lean into the ritual of softening, slowing down and relaxing your body and face.

DAY FIVE

“I nourish the radiance that already exists within.”
